Asmet’s area of practice is corporate and commercial disputes, litigation and arbitration. He has conducted matters for a broad range of high profiled clients and appeared at all levels of the Malaysian court hierarchy and in a variety of dispute resolution forums.
He graduated from the University of Reading, UK, with Joint BA (Hons.) in Economics and International Relations in 1989 and from the University of Wales, UK, with an LL.B (Hons.) in 1991. He obtained his Masters in Law (LLM) from the University of Keele, UK, in 1992.
He was admitted as a Barrister of England and Wales in 1993 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple United Kingdom. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1996 and as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2002.
